Janis is a hard-working undocumented immigrant from Latin America. Shortly after her husband gets deported, she begins a job cleaning house for a wealthy white couple who treat her like a piece of furniture. Janis manages to cope with their lack of respect but nevertheless is not satisfied with her role.
